Episode 41 – Augmented Something Something

In Episode 41, we discuss some breakthroughs in Virtual reality technology from Microsoft and Disney. We talk about the season premiere of The Last Man on Earth, and discuss some plans for the weekend at the NASA JPL and Back to the Future.

The NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California is having an open house on Oct 10th-11th.

Per their official Facebook event… “NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California, invites the public to our annual Open House on October 10-11, 2015. The event takes visitors on a “ride” through the wonders of space. Highlights include a life-size model of the Curiosity Mars rover; demonstrations from numerous space missions; JPL’s machine shop, where robotic spacecraft parts are built; and the Microdevices Lab, where engineers and scientists use tiny technology to revolutionize space exploration.

WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND ARRIVING EARLY FOR BEST PARKING AND SHORTEST LINES. The event and parking are free. No tickets or formal RSVP required. We expect to be filled to capacity. JPL is located at 4800 Oak Grove Drive, 91109.

Follow @NASAJPL on Twitter and Instagram, and see images from last year’s event using the hashtag #JPLOpen.

“Join” this page to get updates directly from JPL event staff, which will include directions, maps, a list of what to bring (and what to leave at home).”
