In this episode, we get to chat with artist, toy designer and DTA Hall of Famer, Jeremy Madl. We talk about his work in commercial toys, what keeps the MADL at the forefront of designer toys and everything in between.
Jeremy has designed so many amazing toys and sadly we can’t own them all but here is a look at just a few that we have purchased over the years
Jeremy will be attending DesignerCon 2016 in Pasadena, CA on Nov 19th and 20th. He has collaborated with Broke Piggy to do a custom MADL show entitled “Bricked”. The show features artists curated by Jeremy and include such talents as Woes, Deph, Jesse Hernandez, Kano, Marka27, Scribe and Sket One. Please swing by Booth 527 and take a look at the custom pieces and maybe take one home yourself!
We have teamed up with MAD to bring together some of the best graffiti artists in our industry to paint on some special hand-made plaster 5” Brick Wall MADLs. From MAD: “The artists involved have deep personal understanding of how influential graffiti art has been in the art & toy world. You might even go as far as saying that the "art toy" foundation comes from the art we did back in the day, and clearly defines our styles in our current work. That’s why this exhibition hits home for me, and why I’m excited to share it with you. It’s a great blend of both worlds on the MADL platform.” @madtoydesign @woes @deph @urbanaztec @kanokid @marka_27 @scribeswalk @sket_one #madl #graffiti #streetart #designercon #dcon #dcon2016 #brokepiggy
