In this episode, we talk about all the news out of DC Fandome (The Suicide Squad, The Batman, etc.) and a game by the makers of Oxenfree called Afterparty. We also pay our respects to Chadwick Boseman.
We were saddened to learn that Chadwick Boseman (star of Black Panther, 42, Marshall and Da 5 Bloods) passed away on Friday, August 28th after his battle with colon cancer. He left an indelible mark on pop culture and the lives of everyone he touched with his work and his art. Countless tributes have been spread throughout social media, including a touching write-up by Black Panther director Ryan Coogler which you can find here. He was an incredible light for everyone around him, and an inspiration to us via his roles on screen and how he carried himself in the public eye.
Afterparty is a game by Night School studio, the creators of Oxenfree. You play as two friends who end up in Hell unexpectedly. The studio also has a new game out on Apple Arcade called “Next Stop Nowhere”. Check it out whenever you can!
The Suicide Squad, directed by James Gunn, finally revealed their entire character lineup. This looks like it’s going to be an amazing entry into the DC Cinematic Universe. Check out the behind the scenes snippets, including Harley Quinn’s brand new look!
The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves and starring Robert Pattinson, dropped a new trailer at DC Fandome. What do you think of the new iteration of Batman/Bruce Wayne? We’re very excited to see the bits of footage we’ve gotten from this trailer. DC is truly stacking the cards well.
DC also hit the ground running with two incredible video game trailers for Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. The character designs look incredible and Gotham Knights looks to be an instant buy for most gamers.
